These terms cover the History Illustrated Games app. By using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The short version
The app is free. Play it, enjoy it, share your results. Don't copy it or sell it. We make it carefully, but we can't promise it will always be perfect.
Using the app
You may download and use the app for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. Teachers are welcome to use it with their students.
You may not:
Copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its games.
Take apart or modify the app's code.
Use the artwork, logos, or characters in your own products.
Who owns what
The app, its games, artwork, writing, logos, and the History Illustrated name belong to History Illustrated. Sharing your results, screenshots, or videos of you playing is fine and encouraged.
History and accuracy
The games are made for fun and learning. We work hard to get the history right, but games simplify things, and mistakes can happen. Please don't treat the app as your only source for schoolwork or research. If you spot an error, tell us and we'll fix it.
Your progress
Your progress, streaks, and stamps are saved only on your device. If you delete the app, reset it, or change devices, that progress is gone and we have no way to bring it back.
No guarantees
The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will be free of errors, always available, or work on every device. We may change, update, or remove games or features at any time.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, History Illustrated is not liable for any damages that come from using or being unable to use the app.
Links that leave the app
Some buttons open our website, our YouTube channel, or the App Store. Those services have their own terms.
Privacy
The app collects no information about you. See our Privacy Policy.
Apple
If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's standard license agreement also applies. These terms are between you and History Illustrated, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the app means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
